Drive For Christ was founded by John McCorkle, Jr., with the leadership of the Holy Spirit.
We should have a drive within us to help others achieve their goals.
Our goal for this community is to raise awareness among Christian men and women who feel called to put their faith into action. If God has placed a drive in your heart to serve, to go, and to see lives changed, you’re in the right place.
Join us as we carry the Great Commission forward — one mile, one prayer, one life at a time.
I was in the trucking business for over 30 years. I understand how it takes a team to accomplish the goals from the starting point to the consumer.
We believe this is how Jesus explained it to all of us in the Great Commission. The Bible is the road map to fulfill the plan of salvation in each of us. That's where it takes a team. To accomplish His perfect plan. Without him, salvation will never be delivered to the unsaved.
God gave us the Bible, and throughout His word, it leads us to understand every event that has led us to Jesus Christ. There is the beginning, the creation of the world, when God set in motion a divine plan that eventually leads each of us to our own 'starting line' in faith.
Trusting God transformed my life and can do the same for you, offering hope in uncertain times. Are you ready to see where His roadmap leads?
Your journey doesn't have to start with a trip to Panama—it starts with a single step of faith. Whether you are here to pray, to give, or to go, you are part of the 'team' that delivers hope to the unsaved.
Today, that same road has led us to Almirante. While the 2024 floods were a major roadblock, they weren't the end of the journey. We are currently rebuilding not just a house, but a hub for Sunday schools, medical missions, and community support.
That week, God showed me that if I trusted Him completely, He would be with me every step of the way. His guidance reassures us that we are never alone, even in unfamiliar situations, and encourages us to step out in faith.
In 2005, two years after my trip to Panama, I got an email from a woman named Elizabeth Moodie. She invited me to Almirante, Panama, to help with a project. I went, and that experience started shaping me for what God had planned.
After meeting Elizabeth and her family, I learned about their vision for Almirante. I worked there for about three weeks before coming home. God kept working in my life, steering me down the path He wanted me to be.
On another trip in 2017, Elizabeth's mother talked to me about helping with the ministry. There were many opportunities, including starting a Christian school, helping trafficked young children, and someday building a new church.
I kept putting off the decision, thinking I was not qualified to do all that Mother Moodie was asking of me. Maybe you feel like I did—unqualified or unsure. But remember, God doesn't call the equipped; He equips the called.
There are those times again when we don't put our faith in God; we only think about our abilities, not His.
Remember, God equips those He calls. No matter your background or experience, He will guide and strengthen you to serve in His purpose.
The years passed by, and in 2024, heavy rains and a flood hit Almirante, destroying the Mission House.
That was when God made it clear it was time to rebuild. That's how Drive for Christ started. I asked God, "How do I do all this?"
He answered, "Allow me to take the wheel and steer you down every path."
Knowing God is actively working in Almirante, Panama, fills us with purpose and hope for what is to come, inspiring us to trust His plan.
There is no place to conduct the services they had before the heavy rains and the flooding. Drive for Christ needs prayers and financial support to rebuild this ministry and serve the community again.
Elizabeth and her sister, Ofelia, are the backbone of The Mission House. God has a huge family that can make all this possible.
A brief history of Almirante, Panama.
Almirante is located in Bocas del Toro province, which is the home of United Fruit Co., a key port for banana exports. (Wikipedia)
The Mission House has played a significant role in ministering. The Missions House has served several in the operation of Christmas Shoe Boxes. They also served the community with Medical Mission Trips to this large port area, sharing food, clothing, and counseling. Your ongoing support helps us continue this vital work and strengthens our community bonds.
The 2024 heavy rains and flooding destroyed The Mission House. Despite this setback, our community remains resilient, and we are committed to rebuilding and continuing our support efforts with your help.
